Another short High St walk while I work on a longer video for next week. This isn’t the main road of Claygate. That’s the parade which is a 130m road near the Railway Station. This one could possibly be the shortest High Street in the UK, but it depends how you measure it. If you google it, the shortest High Street is in Ashley Heath in Hampshire but I think it might be a close run thing. Ashley Heath High St is easy to measure as it has a Give Way line at each end to delineate it whereas Claygate High St has a roundabout at each end. I plan to investigate this further so hopefully there will be another video to follow.
