Join me for a walk across Epsom Downs during the Epsom Derby Festival 2022 as the event is in full swing. We’ll see lots of people, some horses, one race, the funfair, the jubilee family enclosure and the fancy enclosures. Unfortunately they closed the course crossing about 30 seconds before I got to it but that did mean I got a front-row view of the first race, complete with a jockey-less horse where it set off without the rider being ready. Once the crossing was open again the rest of the walk went off without incident.
