this will now be 10 two-bedroom apartments with a

existing facade will be retained.

Previously the Cock & Bull pub. I canโt find any definite information about what is being done now but thereโs a rumour that Morrisons may be moving into this building with apartments being developed on the higher floors.
Previously B&Q, this is now being developed by Berkeley Group into
approx 1000 new homes, 217 of which will be Affordable Housing.
It will have 3.5 acres of open space including a 1.1 acre public park
and 80% dual aspect homes.

Morrisons closed for refurbishment in July 2024 and hasnโt re-opened since, with no more information given publicly. Rumours suggest that there are major structural issues with the existing building and it may have to be demolished.
Previously a number of nightclubs called Wonderland, Liquid,
Kinetic & Love2Love. The club closed in 2015 and remained empty
until it was demolished in 2024 and will be replaced with a four
storey multi-use commercial development with 25 apartments.

Originally the Granada Theatre cinema in 1933 and later
a bingo hall from 1975 until 2003, it has been abandoned since.
Plans to build a nightclub or apartment block have both
been rejected by local residents and adjoining property owners.

Beech Tree Place was previously 24 maisonettes on a small
side road. It will now become โ92 affordable unitsโ
which are planned to be completed around May 2026.

FarmFoods closed here in 2024 and will be replaced by a new development, called Lodge Place, with retail space on the ground floor and 67 apartments above.
Previously the site of Argos and various other independent
shops, this will become commercial space on the ground floor
and above will be a high-end House of Multiple Occupancy (HMO)
living arrangement with 38 en-suite rooms sharing 6 kitchens.

This is the start of a plan to demolish the entire of the
Elm Grove council housing area and replace 73 70s-built
homes with 282 new and replacement homes
built in towers ranging from 5 to 16 storeys.

The entire North end of the High St is being redeveloped
to restore the existing buildings into a new home for
Sutton College, the Councilโs adult learning institution,
which is planned for completion in 2026/27.
